Today's commuters are looking for ways to save money on gasoline and car maintenance. Everyone is interested in cleaning the air we breathe. As the population of Kern County grows, commute traffic gets worse. To adress these problems Kern Council of Governments introduces its free updated rideshare program, Kern Commuter Connection.
Through Kern Commuter Connection, employees and employers may find out more about carpooling, vanpooling, telecommuting, bicycling, public transportation, park-and-ride lots, tax benefits, and even current traffic, weather, and air quality conditions!
Kern Commuter Connection wants to help you stay informed by providing the latest rideshare news. We provide a website, http://www.CommuteKern.org
Kern Council of Governments is supporting Healthy Air Living, a year-round initiative sponsored by the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District that aims to imporve the health and quality of life of all Valley residents by reducing emissions, including reducing the number of miles our vehicles travel each day in the Valley.
