The annual parade on Saturday pays tribute to the beauty of the North Kern area and the community spirit and home-town atmosphere that abides in Wasco. There will be numerous entries including local bands and floats, many of which feature roses from the local growers, and appearances by local and county dignitaries. The parade travels west on Wasco’s main street to Poplar Avenue, turning south on Poplar and ending at Barker Park. The parade is sponsored by Union Bank of California. Cut Roses may be purchased from the Festival office by the last Friday in August by 12:00p.m..
